Motor Leads
Pumps of Oklahoma manufactures custom continuous motor leads for many major brands of submersible motors including Franklin Electric, Grundfos, Centripro, Hitachi, and Faradyne. PumpsOK offers a wide range of cable/wire insulators and jackets for applications that require heat and chemical resistance such as PTFE, CPE/XLPE, Hilo, SOOW, and PVC. Our motor leads are available in custom lengths up to 10,000′ but are subject to each motor manufacturers ampacity requirements which are based on the NEC ampacity for conductors in free air or water. POK stocks lengths in 25′ increments all the way up to 150′.
What is a Continuous Motor Lead?
A continuous motor lead is comprised of a plug specific to the motor manufacturer and a length of cable connected in a continuous strand by using a special potting process in our controlled environment. This eliminates the need for a field installed underwater splice, which is a common failure point in various types of wells.
